Dangles to Encourage Visiting
The best way for any dancer to become stronger is to dance more often -- and visiting other clubs is a great way to do this. A different caller or cuer will present things in slightly different way so you won't become ingrained with just your local methodology.
EOSARDA Visit Dangle Program

The EOSARDA Club Visit Dangle is intended to encourage visits to other EOSARDA Member Dance Clubs. It is awarded dancers who complete the 5 (silver) or 8 (gold) club visits during the course of a single dance year (September 1 through August 30). Club visits include:
- a visit to any other EOSARDA Member club on its regular club night
(Not your own club; only one visit per club per year per applicant please) - attendance at any Open Dance sponsored by an EOSARDA Member Club or Association
- attendance at any Open Dance sponsored by EOSARDA
Have the application form signed and dated each time as proof of your visit and submit the completed application form to any EOSARDA Director or your club president. The form needs to be received by the Club Liason Committee no later than September 30 of the following year. Address and contact info is listed on the application form.
SVSRDA Travel Program

From the time the Association was formed in 1982, its goals were to promote Square & Round Dancing, have fun, and encourage dancers to travel to the other clubs within SVSRDA.
To encourage that activity, SVSRDA awards a Car and/or Travel Dangle to any dancer that meets the following conditions:
- Dances in eight (8) different SVSRDA Club events (your home club counts)
- Those 8 events can include regular club nights, club special dances and, any special Association Dances (Christmas & Mother's Day)
- A visit to a club's regular dance night and that same clubs special dance qualifies as two separate dances.
- A club's theme dance held on their regular dance night does not qualify.
- Sheets must be signed by the Club/Dance Caller or the club officer and dated.
- Checklist sheets must be turned in by April 1st in order for dancers to receive their Travel Awards during the Mother's Day Dance.
If you visit a club on their normal club night whether it is a special dance or not, that counts as 1 of the 8 required dances. If that club hosts a special dance on a night other than their regular dance night, that qualifies as another visit. You are only allowed to claim one club visit and one club special dance per dangle.
Have the application form signed and dated each time as proof of your visit and submit the completed application form by April 1st.
